When I received the bench I quickly began to unpack and prepare to start the buildup. Then I noticed two vinyl tears, one on the back rest and one on the seat rest. I thought to myself that I should fix 'em myself and carry on but I decided that since I paid for a "new" one that is what I wanted...without blemish. So I sent the first one back and they sent out a "new" replacement. When it showed up I stopped to notice the box looked a little used...hmmm! I proceeded to open the box anyway out of excitement. I made sure to look at the vinyl on both the back and seat rests...lo' and behold another tear in the same location (back rest) as the prior bench (fortunately not the same size of tear, as that would have really aggravated me had I re-received the "returned" bench). Again...I decided to return the bench hoping to make sure they understood I am ordering a new bench. And that I would like one without blemish. Well, the customer service staff (as robotic as they are in communicating assured me that they will let "the warehouse" know about the problem and that I can re-order a new one in about a week after my now second return is received. Aarrgh! <br /> <br />Thus, that is a decision I will have to think about after weeks of waiting and disappointment. I realize this is not Amazons fault directly. More likely a packaging problem or shipping company abuse of goods.
