Dumbbell Press/flies Indirectly Work Other Muscles?

I'm a beginner and use dumbbells for my chest. Started doing my chest and noticed
not only my chest was sore a day later but also arms. What other muscles do the
press/flies work?

    free weights use practically everything in the region to stabilize. a bench press will focus on your pecs, triceps and the front of your shoulders. the biceps aren't the focus but they play a huge role in balancing the bar. if you are sore anywhere i haven't mentioned then you really need to broaden your routine. do some pull-ups, various ab crunches, squats. whenever you work-out you should be involving chest back or thighs. those major groups get the testosterone flowing.

    arms, shoulders, chest. Bascially any joint or body part that is moving is affected.
