How Should I Go About Beginning Weight Lifting?


Up to this point I have just been doing push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups in different hand positions, knee-ups, and dips. I have also been using the Perfect Push-Up.
I now want to get into weight lifting. Would it be okay to lift weights every other day or should there be a bigger gap? Can I do the same weightlifting workouts on days that I lift or must I do different workouts? Please explain.

How Much Weight Should I Lift For A Dumbbell?


i have a 15 and 25 lb dumbbell. i don't know which one to use to gain muscle mass. i can do a max of 40 reps per set for 15 lb and 3 reps per set for a 25 dumbbell. i can't buy a 20 lb. one for now.

Hi how many dumbbell curls should i do and how many sets? also how long will it take to see some changes? ive been doing some dumbbell curls and the next day my arm muscles are sore is this because its getting stronger or am i doing it wrong?

Should I Switch To A Heavier Dumbbell When Lifting Weights?


I decided to get back in shape and have been exercising for about a week and a half now. I lift a pair of 3lbs dumbbell in between three 20-minute cardio activity. Someone said I should switch to heavier weights after 2-3 weeks. Is it advisable. I'm not trying to bodybuild, but just trying to reduce my weight.

What Weight Lifting/exercise Routine Should I Follow As A Beginner?


I am 6' and 200lbs. I am joining a gym and want to know what's best for exercise and weight lifting for just normal toning up and maybe some belly loss. The gym has treadmills, elipticals, etc and weight area that I know nothing about...Any help in both or either is appreciated! Including how often a week to do it and any rotations. I've never worked out before, but am generally not weak.

I'm basically an average joe. Not looking to be a body builder, just maybe an extra 10 lbs of muscle or so. Do I need to do both dumbbell curls and concentration curls, or just dumbbell curls, to get nice biceps?

How Frequently Should I Use My Dumbbell Set In Order To Build Up My Biceps?


I bought a 15kg Dumbbell set. How frequently will I need to use these in order to build up my biceps? In addition, what's the minimum amount of time I should spend for each "session" in order to notice any difference?
My objective is simply to achieve a noticeable increase in the size of my biceps.

How Many Sets Of Dumbbell Curls Should I Do?


Okay, for muscle mass in the biceps, I do dumbbell curls. At the moment I am doing dumbbell curls with a 28 lbs dumbbell till failure (usually 6-8 reps)
How many sets should I do?? How much rest in between each set also?
